Nowadays, with the development of AI, the design market has changed significantly. Thus, designers, including juniors and seniors, know not only about designing identities and brands but also about interactive design, such as interaction design, SEO, website design, and more. Figma is a tool that cannot be missed this time due to the rise of UI and UX. It is purposely created to create the interfaces of websites and mobile devices.
Learning Process
Since the last interview with Cre8tive, I have learned how important this software is in the industry. Last May, I took one course, “ Figma Essentials” in Bring Your Own Laptop by Daniel Walter Scott. It focused on the basic knowledge of using the functions in Figma. Additionally, it provided professional insights into setting up the UI project that made a designer like me easily follow.

I applied these techniques by creating the mobile interface for the wine store.

And this is my result.

After completing the course, I joined one competition in 99designs to test and practice my Figma skills.

Challenge and Goal
While working on this project, I faced two challenges. The first thing is its features. Figma has various functions and it takes time to remember all of them. The second thing is the loading issue. It is a browser so when performing projects with many pages, it can be slow and sometimes unresponsive.
However, challenge is a part of learning. Because of this, I have been more comfortable and confident in utilizing this tool to design interfaces in professional projects.
Practice Plan
After finishing this semester, I plan to join 99designs to practice my Figma skills. My goal is to do one project fortnightly. It will help enhance my work and show potential companies and clients that I have knowledge and techniques in this area.
